The best price-to-experience ratio in San Pedro. It runs at night from town, so it needs no acclimatization and fits any itinerary. Book around the new moon for the darkest sky.
Fine as a budget option, but you lose the sunset that justifies the valley. If money is the constraint, take this one at midday and keep your evening free for stargazing.
Very similar to the telescope tour — pick whichever night has availability. The guide's English is usually excellent; confirm at booking if it matters to you.
The smart alternative to the sunset-only circuit — Death Valley adds the dune views and usually thinner crowds. Sunset here is earlier and less chaotic than at the great dune.
The float itself is brief but unforgettable, and sunset over the salar beats the valley's for silence. Shower facilities are basic; bring your own towel.
