What to order
Why go
Gingerlinge is the kind of place locals recommend by first name: a small, homey room where the curries, soups and stir-fries change with the day and the ginger — in tea, in lemonade, in everything — earns the name. It is home cooking rather than chef cooking, and the loyal following says more than any single dish on the board.
The seasonal honesty applies: Gingerlinge keeps irregular, seasonal hours and closes for stretches, so ask at your hotel on arrival rather than building a plan around it. When it is open it fills the vegetarian-dinner gap at US$ 10–18 (≈ CLP 10,000–17,500) between the juice bars — Todo Natural, Blanco Deli Verde — and the fine-dining tables.
